After reading the story The Three Billy Goats Gruff, P1-P3 divided into groups and set about creating their very own trolls. Each group had the opportunity of talking about their troll creations to the rest of the class. A variety of materials: leaves, flowers, stones, twigs, feathers, moss and grass were used to represent the eyes, teeth, ears, legs, arms etc of their trolls. Each group came up with a name for their troll. A super session outside, working together, developing communication skills, respect, sharing, turn taking and imagination in the fresh air, sunshine, within nature and with our friends. We will use our troll characters to write about in our literacy lesson next week.
