We had a fun morning outside collecting sticks, flowers, leaves, stones, feathers, bark, petals, catkins and anything else we could find. We used these to create our own moving mobiles. It was a real challenge trying to tie knots to hold the objects on. Some really good attempts were made. We used our sense of sight, smell and touch to talk about the colours and textures of the objects we had found. Our corridor looks really beautiful with our moving mobiles on display. We even got some numeracy included in counting out the objects we had found, making repeating patterns and measures in comparing the size of sticks.
